Up To Date Festival

When conventional solutions aren’t enough...

…we boldly choose paths that no one has yet traveled. Our mission is not only about the energy transition—it is also about seeking new, sometimes surprising solutions and exploring ways toward a better, more sustainable life and a conscious civilization built on community.

We are aware that achieving true balance in the world requires not only clean and safe energy but also strong, respectful communities open to collaboration. Music, inclusive spaces, and initiatives accessible to everyone undoubtedly help repair frayed connections and build new bonds.

Energy flowing from music

Convinced that we are not alone in this way of thinking, we found a new ally in the world of electronic music through openness to change and diverse partnerships. Our collaboration, launched in 2023 with the Cultural and Social Emergency Association and the Don’t Worry Be Yourself Foundation, proved to be not only an excellent opportunity for dialogue with art and the local community but also a chance to promote sustainable and eco-friendly solutions, as well as initiatives focused on human relationships and mindfulness.

From the very beginning of our partnership, we have consistently pursued the goal of promoting and raising awareness of sustainable event practices that are not only environmentally responsible but also human-centered. In 2024, we decided to strengthen this collaboration by taking on the role of title sponsor, confident that, with our support, these joint initiatives will set an example for sustainable event practices.

ExUTDF

Electrum Up To Date Festival is one of the most important electronic music festivals in this part of Europe, and its organizers are pioneers, uncompromisingly seeking the most exciting musical phenomena and modern electronic sounds. The UTDF team is unafraid to make bold decisions and, like Electrum, is known for its deep connection to the urban fabric, support for local initiatives, and commitment to taking real action for sustainable development, climate, and society.

Together with the festival organizers, we speak openly about the impact of humans and the music industry on the environment, implement eco-friendly solutions, and organize the international conference Do We Really Care, believing that conversation and education are key to making informed decisions.

That is why, every year, Electrum Up To Date Festival is not only dozens of artistic performances but also active work toward transforming the festival experience into one that is more conscious, sustainable, and environmentally responsible. Together with the organizers, we have implemented a series of measures to reduce the event’s environmental footprint. We minimized air transport for artists and equipment, encouraged participants to use public transport and bicycles, prioritized local suppliers, and replaced new festival merchandise with upcycled clothing.

Thanks to the joint efforts of Electrum and the UTDF team, we demonstrate that music and ecology can go hand in hand. Together, we create an event that not only delivers world-class musical experiences but also serves as a model of environmental responsibility. Our initiatives promoting awareness, reducing emissions, minimizing waste, and supporting local communities show that sustainability is both possible and necessary in the world of entertainment. We believe that such initiatives can inspire others to take similar steps, guiding us all toward a better, greener future.

Ambient Salons

At Electrum, ambient music holds a special place for us – we see in it what we strive to create ourselves. It is music that, like the energy transition, draws inspiration from nature and blends it with technology.

Ambient Salons are a series of events born from the need to experience music collectively in an atmosphere that encourages full attention to sensations. Features such as the “Quiet Zone” for participants, thoughtfully designed lighting, and spaces filled with rugs and cushions make the Salons more than just music—they offer an escape from reality into a world of musical contemplation.

The positive reception and ongoing public interest have allowed the Salons to expand beyond Białystok, now taking place also in Warsaw, Poznań, and Gdańsk.

Don’t worry be yourself

The festival organizers can be considered pioneers not only for breaking new ground in the music industry, but also for launching the Don’t Worry Be Yourself campaign at a time when few people openly discussed mental health. By partnering with the festival, we eagerly joined this initiative, recognizing that mental well‑being is essential—especially in times marked by crises on multiple fronts.

Don’t Worry Be Yourself is responsible for year‑round activities on the ExUTDF social media channels and for organizing the SAFE SPACE area at the Electrum Up To Date Festival.

Together with the festival organizers, we recognized that long music events present a flood of sensory stimuli—sounds, lights, and scents—that can make it difficult for some attendees to navigate the environment. SAFE SPACE was created with these individuals in mind: a cozy area, separate from the main festival flow, where visitors can enjoy a restorative moment of calm. This unique space, unprecedented at Polish festivals, contributes to the conversation around neurodiversity, educating attendees and promoting understanding and acceptance of differences.

Electrum Ambient Park

When was the last time we had the chance to meet strangers in a context other than work? To sit carefree on the grass, listen to music together, take part in outdoor workshops, watch the treetops sway in the wind, and chat with people on the next blanket? Electrum Ambient Park was created precisely to offer such unique opportunities – moments that foster organic connections often lost in the rush of everyday life. And just as Electrum could not exist without the forces of nature, we need strong, natural relationships.

For us, Electrum Ambient Park symbolizes that the energy transition is not only about technology, but also about culture, education, and togetherness. It is a chance to remember that community is an endless source of positive energy.

IMMERSIONS

Is it possible to host music events in multiple locations at the same time with the same lineup? If you really want to, you can, and through the IMMERSIONS project, we’re proving that it can be done.

Leveraging advanced live streaming technologies and driven by an ecological vision of the future, we once again join forces with the electronic music world, tackling social and cultural exclusion in peripheral areas.

The core of the project is a platform that allows events to be organized anywhere – from smaller towns to remote locations – where club infrastructure is limited or nonexistent. As a strategic partner of the project, we are committed to ensuring that this combined stage and broadcast hub operates in a low-emission, fully sustainable way. We have developed solutions that not only redefine event organization but also open new opportunities for music scenes in places far from major cultural centers.

IMMERSIONS is a game-changer, offering underdeveloped music scenes opportunities we could only dream of before. It is an example of how the combination of technology, ecology, and culture can create a future accessible to everyone, regardless of where they live.

Echoes of Future Events

We believe that by collaborating with the music scene, we can jointly develop solutions and draw lessons that, just as in the world of culture, can be applied to the energy transition.

Collaboration, community, and mutual support are the foundations on which we build our future. By working together with local initiatives, we can achieve more, inspire each other to take action, and share resources. We believe that if we want to create a safe, green, and accessible world for everyone, we must act together.

It’s easy to say that we can achieve more together. But that statement only becomes true when we actually collaborate. In the case of Electrum and the Up To Date Festival, this is a partnership we are proud to speak about!
