aerOS

aerOS Project

The aerOS project aims to implement an innovative meta-operating system that enables the efficient use of computing resources close to the data source.

All of this within the framework of edge cloud computing for IoT. As a result, aerOS will reduce latency and increase processing dynamics, which is particularly important for AI- and machine learning-based applications.

A key aspect of the project is to ensure the security and sovereignty of the processed data, increasing the system’s resilience to potential disruptions such as Internet outages.

Implementation of aerOS in Two Pilot Renewable Energy Installations

As part of the project, Electrum is implementing the aerOS solution in two pilot renewable energy installations (photovoltaics and wind energy). We use our proprietary EMACS (SCADA) technology to monitor energy generation, storage, and consumption processes, as well as for business data analysis.

Thanks to integration with aerOS, we can optimize the management of renewable energy installations, implement advanced cybersecurity mechanisms, and ensure efficient data management—confirming the system’s usability in an industrial environment.

Funding Information

The project is co-funded by Horizon Europe, the European Union’s key funding programme for research and innovation, under grant agreement no. 101069732.
