ESG

Environmental, Social, Corporate Governance

Our approach to ESG

We believe that the changes necessary to protect the climate must happen at a systemic level.

Business and industry are responsible for the foundations of the modern world—therefore, before we expect action from others, we set high standards for ourselves.

Our Responsibility

Our responsibility does not end with producing environmentally neutral energy. We actively engage in scientific projects, collaborate with NGOs, and organize events for the local community. These actions drive lasting change both locally and nationally.

At Electrum, sustainable development is the foundation of every project. Our ESG strategy covers environmental, social, and governance areas, influencing all aspects of our operations. We focus on green energy, innovation, and responsible management to create lasting value for both our stakeholders and society as a whole.

Environmental Protection (E - Environmental)

Our goal is to build the energy of the future based on renewable energy sources, delivering clean power in a safe and environmentally friendly way.

We minimize the environmental impact of our operations – from planning and execution to project management. We use innovative technological solutions and efficient resource management to ensure our renewable energy projects interfere with ecosystems as little as possible.

We feel responsible for the environment, which is why we treat natural resources as a shared value to be protected and used wisely. Our actions focus on reducing the consumption of raw materials, water, and energy – from optimizing production processes to implementing energy-efficient technologies – ensuring that every stage of our work aligns with the principles of sustainable development.

Social Responsibility (S - Social)

We see ourselves as part of the communities we work with, which is why we support local initiatives, engage in education about the energy transition, and promote environmental awareness. We want our actions to benefit not only investors but also local communities, bringing knowledge and growth.

We strive to make our company a welcoming and supportive workplace. We ensure safe working conditions, uphold the principles of equality and inclusiveness, and support the professional development of our employees. Respect and care for the physical and mental well-being of our team are the foundations of the atmosphere within our organization.

Corporate Governance (G - Governance)

At Electrum, we prioritize ethical standards, transparency, and accountability in our daily operations. We comply with legal regulations, monitor risks, and uphold integrity in our relationships with stakeholders to ensure stability and long-term growth.

Our actions are based on open communication and transparency. We believe that this is the only way to build trust and lasting relationships with clients, partners, and the communities we work with.

Global Operations

Rozwijamy zrównoważoną energetykę przyszłości

Developing Sustainable Energy
for the Future

In this spirit, together with leading scientific centers and enterprises from Poland, Germany, Austria, and Israel, we are implementing the international DIEGO project. This pioneering business solution addresses the high energy costs for end-users and the low efficiency of its utilization. The main goal of the project is to develop digital tools that will be used in the planning, operation, and management of energy infrastructure: from small photovoltaic modules to large industrial parks.

Poszukujemy rozwiązań usprawniających zarządzanie w energetyce

Seeking Solutions
to Improve Energy Management

Together with 26 partners from eleven European countries, we are participating in the aerOS project, carried out under the "Horizon Europe" program. The outcome of our work will be the implementation of an operational meta-system designed to facilitate effective energy asset management.

Zielone obszary wiejskie

Green Rural Areas

Our work in the Polish-German RIGRID (Rural Intelligent Grid) project focused on the sustainable development of rural areas, aligned with the needs of the local community. We created a system for optimal planning and management of energy and infrastructure in two localities. This initiative led to energy independence, increased power supply reliability, reduced carbon footprint, and new economic opportunities for the residents of the areas covered by the project.

Przyszłość to niskoemisyjny przemysł

The Future is Low-Emission Industry

We are leading the MESH4U (Multi Energy Storage Hub 4 Utility) project. In this project, we develop and research various types of energy storage systems that will help transform the economy towards low emissions. We lead a consortium composed of research institutions, academic entities, and industrial partners from Poland, Germany, Switzerland, and Italy.

Local Activities

Być Up To Date z otoczeniem

Staying Up to Date with the Community

As we grow across the country, we remember our roots – that's why we support initiatives that, like us, originated in Podlasie. Collaboration with the Up To Date Festival is an opportunity for us to engage in dialogue with art and the local community. Together with the festival's foundation, we participate in actions promoting mental health under the "Don’t worry be yourself" campaign and in cultural initiatives, sponsoring the Ambient Salon in Białystok and Warsaw.

Healthy Team Spirit

We want our employees to be happy and healthy. As the saying goes, "a healthy mind in a healthy body," we provide the best possible private healthcare program for employees and their families. During working hours, we organize group training sessions so that everyone interested can exercise their body and calm their mind.

Climate-Friendly Commuting

We encourage employees to choose zero-emission ways to commute to work or to reduce CO2 emissions through carpooling. We know that the Electrum team consists of people who naturally opt for the most environmentally friendly options without needing special incentives, but we still reward the most active and zero-emission participants in our EkoDrive contest. Reducing our carbon footprint is extremely important to us, so we ensure that our company cars reflect this commitment. Seventy-five percent of Electrum Group's fleet vehicles have hybrid engines.

Running for the Hospice

While we consistently strive towards an alternative energy system every day, for many years we have also run annually for the "Pomóż Im" Foundation's Children's Hospice during the Electrum Ekiden run. This charity run, of which we were the title sponsor, enjoyed unwavering popularity for many years. We became a permanent fixture in Białystok's sports event calendar, promoting running long before it became fashionable.

Supporting Athletes
Generating Positive Energy

We appreciate talented athletes. For a year, the Electrum Group sponsored the Electrum Sailing Team. Currently, we support cross-country skier Izabela Marcisz, a silver medalist at the World Junior Championships in Whistler, Canada. We are also sponsors of Paweł and Magdalena Miniuk, runners and marathoners who compete on tracks across Europe.
