PAD RES Group and Electrum to Develop Another Solar Project Together

Electrum has commenced the execution of another EPC project for the PAD RES Group in the Pomeranian Voivodeship. The agreement, signed by both companies in recent weeks, covers the expansion of the solar farm in Koślinka by an additional 18.86 MW, bringing the total capacity of the Sztum and Mikołajki energy complex to 131.81 MW.

Electrum, a climate tech company operating within the Electrum Group, has previously collaborated with PAD RES Group as the general contractor on multiple projects. In the past, it successfully completed the 35 MW Genowefa solar farm in central Poland. Currently, Electrum is constructing three solar facilities: Stargard (130.4 MW), Mikołajki Pomorskie (26.86 MW), and Sztum (86.1 MW). Now, with the expansion of the latter by an additional 18.85 MW, the total capacity of the Sztum and Mikołajki energy complex will reach 131.81 MW.

As an investor, we are pleased with our successful collaboration with Electrum. Together, we are executing a project that marks another step toward energy transition and the decarbonization of the country. The expansion of the Koślinka solar farm will increase the share of green energy in the national grid and contribute to further reducing Poland’s reliance on fossil fuels. With this investment, we are not only increasing generation capacity but also proving that renewable energy sources can effectively replace traditional solutions, explains Wojciech Jasiński, Head of the Construction Department at PAD RES.

Across nearly 22 hectares, more than 34,000 solar panels and 48 inverters will be installed. After the expansion, the Koślinka PV farm will reach 39.15 MW. The new phase of construction is scheduled for completion in November 2025.
