Alufrost MESH4U

Electrum’s MESH4U Project

Electrum Group’s Mesh4U project focuses on innovative energy storage solutions that are key to the development of low-emission energy systems.

The Mesh4U solution combines various types of energy storage: electrical, thermal, mechanical, and chemical, which allows for greater flexibility and efficiency in local energy networks. With the use of automation and ICT-based monitoring, Mesh4U supports both grid-connected and island mode operation, increasing energy reliability and sustainability. The project supports decarbonization and energy supply stability—with a particular focus on industrial and household sectors.

Alufrost Mesh4U – Implementation

Electrum Group, together with AluFrost, implemented an innovative energy-informatic system under the Mesh4U project at a manufacturing plant in Sowlany, Podlaskie Voivodeship.

The companies tested an integrated energy storage system that works with a local photovoltaic installation. It is based on advanced artificial intelligence algorithms.

It enables intelligent energy management by forecasting demand based on weather data, production levels, and energy tariffs.

The system protects the facility from power outages and optimizes energy costs, enabling significant savings and operational stability.

As part of the testing phase, various scenarios were verified, including island mode operation (disconnected from the external grid). The energy storage system allowed buffering of excess solar energy and its later use during periods of high demand or increased external energy prices.

Thanks to this solution, AluFrost has achieved greater energy independence and supported its sustainable development strategy—aligned with global trends toward carbon neutrality.

Mesh4U also allows real-time monitoring and analysis of energy consumption, which increases production efficiency and supports effective energy resource planning for the future.

The Mesh4U project aims to enhance the flexibility of energy systems, especially for industrial enterprises, making it an attractive solution for companies seeking to optimize costs and reduce dependency on external energy providers.
