Renedium – a remedy for your renewable revolution

Renedium is a device for active and reactive power regulation, enabling cooperation with up to 10 generating units in PPM (PPC).

A system for active and reactive power regulation, capable of cooperating with up to ten generating units. Wind, Sun, Water, Biogas, Energy Storage, Nuclear, and more – control of production in one place, regardless of source type, power, location, and complexity.

  • Works with multiple types of generation units (wind energy, solar energy, hydroelectric power plants, nuclear, energy storage, hybrid systems)
  • Active power regulation according to system operator or investor settings

Active Power Regulation

  • Estimation of active power losses in the supply line
  • Precise adjustment of settings via the PID controller
    • Generation of active power settings with frequency mode corrections (LFSM-O/U + FSM)
  • Two operational modes for LFSM/FSM functionality:
    • Operator setting (limiting active power generation) impacts active power limits in LFSM/FSM modes, operating within the 0% Pmax – Operator system setting ≤ 100% Pmax range
    • No active power limit in LFSM/FSM modes, operating within the 0% Pmax – 100% Pmax range
  • Capability to use active power gradient mode in both normal and emergency network modes (frequency < >50Hz and beyond sensitivity zones)
  • Division of power settings for up to 10 PPC-type controllers – active power generation limit division for generating units in a “weighted average mode, considering the currently available active power of generating units”

Reactive power control

  • Three modes of reactive power control:
    • Reactive power setting
    • Power factor setting
    • Voltage setting
  • Collaboration with reactive power compensation devices:
    • Capacitor banks
    • Static and tapped compensating inductors

The Renedium Regulator, combined with the EMACS platform, is a complete, cohesive, and universal solution for the control and monitoring of processes related to the generation, storage, and utilization of renewable energy (wind, solar, nuclear, hydro, energy storage, hybrid systems).
