Electrum, in cooperation with Epi-Centrum Nauki, invites children and parents to a unique educational workshop: “Green Energy, Brick by Brick.” Starting in December, Epi-Centrum Nauki in Białystok will offer classes that introduce participants to the basics of renewable energy and climate technologies in an accessible and engaging way. The centerpiece of the workshop is the Electrum Eco Hive model — a LEGO city built with over 50,000 bricks. The first session for individual participants will take place on December 7, 2024.

The “Green Energy, Brick by Brick” workshop is designed for families with children aged 8 and older who want to explore modern technologies and sustainable development together. The 60-minute sessions are divided into two parts. During the theoretical segment, participants will learn about the energy mix, understand how different energy sources work — from traditional coal-fired power plants to modern wind farms, photovoltaic installations, and energy storage systems — and explore the importance of energy diversification for environmental protection. In the practical part, children and parents will team up in pairs to design their own energy solutions using LEGO bricks. An innovative multimedia kiosk accompanying the model allows for an interactive exploration of how different energy sources operate.

“Green Energy, Brick by Brick is our response to the energy challenges of the future. We want children to understand where energy comes from and to be aware that their everyday choices impact the environment. The workshops at Epi-Centrum Nauki are not only educational but also a great opportunity to collaboratively design sustainable solutions that will one day become the norm,” said Jan Roguz.

We warmly invite families and organized groups to take part in this unique initiative that combines learning with play and shows how cooperation between science and business can support sustainability education.
