Electrum, has completed general construction works on one of the largest solar farms in southern Poland. The investment, with a capacity of over 100 MWp, was carried out for Swedish investor OX2. Rutki solar farm is the first OX2’s Group project in the IPP (Independent Power Producer) model.
Project Scale and Technical Data
The Rutki solar farm, located in the Niemodlin Municipality (Opole Voivodeship), covers an area of 78 hectares. The project involved the installation of 145,206 photovoltaic modules, which will generate approximately 108 GWh of electricity annually—enough to meet the needs of around 30,000 households. Construction lasted 12 months, with over 200 people working on-site at peak times.

Trust-Based and Experienced Collaboration
– The launch of the Rutki farm is a breakthrough moment for us — our first IPP project in Poland and the first as an independent power producer in OX2 Group – Aneta Pochroń, Head of construction, OX2 Poland. – It marks the beginning of a new direction in our operations and a significant step toward sustainable energy. Our cooperation with Electrum was smooth and professional — we value their experience and flexibility in managing complex construction processes.
The contract was executed in the BoS model. The main components were supplied by the Ordering Party, while Electrum was responsible for the comprehensive implementation of the PV part, using the entrusted materials and equipment – from the moment they were delivered to the construction site through to installation and commissioning of the system. A key element of success was the effective coordination of logistics and schedule management in a dynamically changing market environment.
– Rutki is a project that confirms our competence in delivering large-scale renewable Energy – emphasized Marcin Kardasz, Project Manager at Electrum – Thanks to the team’s commitment and a partnership-based relationship with the investor, we were able to complete the project according to technical and time assumptions, despite logistical and operational challenges.
